The stock firmware allows you to setup a vpn server. You want to run a vpn client mode for your expressvpn. So, you do need something like DD-WRT.

And one other thing. When you flash from the linksys partition, use the *.img file and not the *.bin file.

Just installed Kong 29750 on my WRT1900AC V1. Will be running Kong's for a few days and see if I find anything that will improve things.

Did anyone check openssl speed with the new build? Seems to be much lower than before(26000 new vs 38000--aes-256-cbc). Not sure if it is just me or I did something wrong. This is with wrt1900ac V2.
