The previous build I was using, 29085, had some weird micro-disconnects for clients, the connection would randomly drop for half a second and then go back up.

I'm currently using 29387 and it seems to be solid so far.
My usage is somewhat light, though: PPPoE, DHCP, DDNS, VPN, some manual port forwards and also uPnP activated.

I've noticed that the newer builds start up with a much higher CPU load compared to the old ones, but in time it goes back to normal levels.

So for anyone looking for a newer build for this router, currently my recommendation is 29387.
As with all builds, you'll need to flash it from the original Linksys firmware.

I'm not quite sure why it was removed, but I've done another update (that I've forgotten to mention) to build 29409 and it's running smooth, so you should try that one from here.

Is the 5GHz radio not being activated something that can be addressed? If not, I'll just use 2.4, but getting my 5GHz back would be ... handy.

The 5thz radio is not supported and most likely never will be.

Hi, what would be the latest stable version of DD-WRT for Linksys EA2700?
I have one of those with the newer "smart" firmware, didn't use it for a while and now would like to try DD-WRT.
Don't use 5GHz, but all my 2.4GHz wifi clients (a couple of android devices + one PC) connect at 65 Mbps. Is this normal?
Tried changing the channel and all options in the settings, nothing helps. I guess DD-WRT doesn't have this problem?

I have a router Linksys EA6500 working fine using 5Ghz wifi on a ddwrt firmware.. I also have a router Linksys EA2700 that I want to use with ddwrt firmware..

Why is that 5Ghz is not supported on EA2700? Is there any hw limitation ?

reset to default
download the classic FW, downgrade from newest FW to FW_EA2700_1.0.14.129982.SSA.

reset to default

use the classic E2700 gui to load dd-wrt-30605-ea2700.trx, wait about 1 mins

use com port to nvram erase , or you will not able to set the dd-wrt username and password.
you need erase nvram from linksys parameter setting.

and reboot the devive , you could see the

I followed the guide... https://haeberling.blogspot.com/2014/11/installing-dd-wrt-on-linksys-ea2700.html Rolling Eyes Crying or Very sad

And after hours of trying, the router was rejecting to install the ddwrt firmware, the solution was so fuc... simple, Laughing just get the latest linksys firmware, wait the router to boot after a normal reset (10sec) and then update directly the .trx file. Done! Very Happy

Hi guys!

I've just recently installed DD-WRT for the first time, and flashed r37305. I had an issue with the Wireless and so I updated to the lates Beta I could find in the FTP - r38581. Still the same issue.

The problem is that from time to time, Internet access via Wireless just stops working - I remain connected to the router (as I see a strong signal in the tray area) but attempting to load any web page hangs and timeouts. Until I manuall re-connect the Wireless connection. Then it is immediatelly fixed.

I've explained the problem in more detail in this topic: https://forum.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?p=1156844#1156844

If anyone knows anything about this or has any ideas, please share! Smile
