Hi,

I have a openvpn client configuration, that works on my windows box with the windows-openvpn-client GUI to successfully connect to a vpn server.

Now I want to transfer this config to dd-wrt openvpnclient to establish a site-to-site vpn tunnel permanently.

So I copied every setting/certs to the dd-wrt webadmin GUI, but it is not working. I can see a setting that is missing in dd-wrt: verify-x509-name "C=de, L=Somewhere, ..." subject

Can I use my own vpnc config in dd-wrt (without dd-wrt webadmin) because the config should work, since it works on the windows box, I think.

Thank you,
Alex

Hi,

ok, now I was able to connect successfully.
I'm writing the config with a startup script and start the openvpn client in this script by hand, also. Now it is working Smile, I can connect and access resources on the other side.

But there is a small error while starting the client:
This config option:
Code:
route remote_host 255.255.255.255 net_gateway

leads to this error message while startup:
Code:
/sbin/route add -net PUBLIC_IP_OF_VPN_SERVER netmask 255.255.255.255 gw PRIVATE_IP_OF_MY_CABLEMODEM
route: ioctl 0x890b failed: File exists
ERROR: Linux route add command failed: external program exited with error status: 1

Despite this error it is working (and also w/o that option in config), but can anybody explain or give me a hint what this option is for and how I can fix it?

Best regards,
Alex
