After the Windows 10 Anniversary update, I noticed that I was no longer getting a DNS server assignment in my Windows machine from the router.

I use DNSMasq under services to setup IPv6.

I removed the following line from my "Additional DNSMasq Options" and it started working properly.

dhcp-option=vendor:MSFT,2,1i

I have a Netgear WNDR3700v1
Firmware: DD-WRT v3.0-r30082 std (07/01/16)

It wasn't that line, so I put it back in.
Sometimes it gets DNS server and sometimes not.

dunno what`s broken.... dd-wrt dnsmasq ipv6 settings or windows 10 anniversary update... i to have a problem with ipv6 after the update...

----edited-----
anyone that has problems with ipv6 after windows anniversary update try this:

How to Disable Temp IPv6 Address Feature in Command Prompt
1. Open an Elevated Command Prompt.
a). Enter the following command exactly to disable the random IP address generation feature and then press enter:
netsh interface ipv6 set global randomizeidentifiers=disabled
b). Then input the next command exactly to force Windows to use the EUI-64 standard. Press enter to apply the command:
netsh interface ipv6 set privacy state=disabled
2. Reboot the machine to apply the changes.

pls write if it helped you

I noticed that sometimes, it gets the ipv6 DNS, but mostly not. This is for the Anniversary updated Windows machines. I think my iPhone is getting the DNS though.

After many tries and config changes I've re-enabled radvd with custom config and ipv6 works again...
