This just happened. out of nowhere I could not get to any web sites from any of my devices. I then plugged straight into the modem and all was fine.I originally thought it was my ISP. All pages were saying cannot locate DNS server. I then unplugged the router and rebooted. Same thing no internet. I then did a factory reset and the internet came back.

I am now back on 30370M. That was the most stable with the strong wireless signal and throughput.Between the 3 day reboot and the DNS no internet problem this build is very suspect.

I had the same issue few hours after updating my R8000 (LAN was OK for me), but since my last reboot 5 days ago everything is fine.

on my R7000 I have also the user.info:

DD-WRT user.info : wland : WLAN daemon successfully started

but have disabled all Wlan's.....

I'm seeing the same log messages on my R7000, occurring every few hours. I have both radios enabled, 2GHz G on wl0 and 5GHz N on wl1. As far as I can tell, there are no connection problems. For example, a webcam on wl0 shows uptime corresponding with the time the router was last booted, over 4 days ago.

the same in my case, I have disabled both radios and they do not start if the message is showing in the syslog....all works fine for this moment.....

I am still on 30370M but I had this exact thing happen to me day before yesterday. I thought I was being "throttled" by my ISP. power cycled router and nothing, very intermittent connectivity, some sites resolving DNS others not. for instance I could not resolve www.google.com when issuing a ping but could resolve www.youtube.com. and even though I could resolve www.youtube.com only 1 out of 4 pings would respond.

very strange issue. I just assumed it was my ISP but reading your post this describes verbatim the issue I was having.

left router off all night and plugged everything back up the following morning and still same issue... let it sit for 30 or 40 mins and it just "started working".

very strange behavior.

I see that message every few hours on my R8500 too. Not sure what it affects or if it interrupts WiFi. The WiFi devices seem to still be connected after those messages but I don't know if it leads to a temporary interruption in transmission.

Almost 7 days uptime without a problem Smile
This is the best K4 build I have tested to date

Only thing is the following in the syslog every 4h16m:
wland: WLAN daemon succesfully started

Thanks devs!

Router Name: EA6900

Router Model: Linksys EA6900 (XVortex CFE)

Firmware Version: DD-WRT v3.0-r30430M (08/16/16)

Kernel Version: Linux 4.4.17 #15 SMP Tue Aug 16 12:37:42 CEST 2016 armv7l

Upgraded: from 30370M via telnet (upgrade via WebGui or DDUP not possible)

Reset: Yes, before and after (Erase NVRAM and WPS reset)

Configuration: AP, DHCP server, 2,4GHz wireless running, 5GHz disabled, some static leases and some port range forwarding, NVRAM size just below 32K (NVRAM size should not be a problem with the Xvortex CFE)

Status: Up and stable for 15 min, excellent wireless speed and range, WAN throughput 40/4 (is my ISP's maximum)
Errors: none so far, I will keep you informed

Thanks Kong and BrainSlayer!!

Anybody here running Privoxy in Transparent mode on this build?

It is extremely paranoid and wont let me access the simplest of sites. I just flashed to DD-WRT v3.0-r30465M kongac (08/23/16) and have it enabled. Have yet to see if the issue persists.

Code:
Warning:

 This is [b]Privoxy 3.0.25 on Asus (192.168.1.1), port 8118, enabled[/b]
Warning:

This Privoxy version is based on [b]beta code[/b] and not intended for production systems!
Use at your own risk. See the license for details.

Hi all,

For info, Kong build 30465M resolves the endless reboot loop which is caused when NVRAM usage is 65K or more.

Thanks Kong for the new firmware.

In regards to my previous post, my R7000 has been running for 10 days on this build with no problems. No unexpected reboots or client connection problems.

I think I will probably sit on this build for awhile unless anyone else feels that 30465 is a superior build for the R7000.

Thanks again for all your hard work Kong.

My last "great" build for the R7000 was 29875 K3.x. Moving to K4.x, build 30465 has proven to work well with my setup. Build 30430 caused a few issues that I documents in this thread. Even though I had problems it doesn't mean others shouldn't use it, if it works well keep using it as sometimes the latest isn't always the greatest.

Thanks, mac913, I think I will stick with this build for the time being as it's working quite well for me.

Appreciate the advice, and I will keep 30465 in mind if I decide to upgrade.
