Just a heads up:
Kongat v3.0-r30590 9/8/16 and v3.0-r30645 9/19/16
Satus: OK
Wifi 2.4 and 5Ghz work fine
Client bridge works fine
AP mode works fine
Not tested usb esata ports, vpn. r7500v2 used as repeater.
Both releases are pretty solid.
Would like some input on BS release if available. _________________ Netgear R7800(2), R7500v2(2) WDS, Asus RT-AC68R (2)
Does not work for me. Had to use the alternative method kong typed down at the bottom of the readme.\
Also, Hi.
EDIT:
I was actually playing around with first the netgear firmware, Kong dd-wrt Firmware, and then back to netgear.
All i can say is that if i setup the r7500v2 as a wireless bridge under netgear firmware, my computers connected to it can see the wifi printer thats connected to the PWRT1900ac router in the living room along with every other computer in the house.
But if i try dd-wrt client bridge on the r7500v2, any computer connected to the r7500v2 client bridge will only see computers but not the printer in the living room.
I will draw and post a "network map?" later.

Also, Hi.
explain how it didnt work? did u also try brainslayer builds?
This is a really bad habit i have. And its reminding me of my customers
-ANYWAY-
I flashed it to the r7500v2 and it still stays on the kong firmware. Even after rebooting the router and then flashing it still does not go. I can flash to brainslayers firmware (or at least i think i am able to). I noticed that sometimes after doing a factory reset or reboot, Kongs name disappears.
I may be doing something wrong though so i will continue trying again later on this week.

it still stays on kong firmwares? what did u expect it to stay on then? i dont get it? isnt that the whole point? to get it on ddwrt/kong/bs? _________________ LATEST FIRMWARE(S)

What i am trying to accomplish is to go back to netgear stock firmware. I flashed brainslayers firmware and then kongs dd-wrt to factory firmware and it did not flash. I had to try the tftp method that kong typed in the readme to get back to factory stock firmware.
Like i said, now that i am thinking about it, i probably did something wrong so i will try testing it again to make extra sure.

I thought I made it clear that kong firmware worked fine as a repeater if configured correctly. _________________ Netgear R7800(2), R7500v2(2) WDS, Asus RT-AC68R (2)
I thought I made it clear that kong firmware worked fine as a repeater if configured correctly.
This only happens on atheros and marvell chipset routers running dd-wrt firmware. I did find that if i flash back to factory stock firmware on the r7500v2 and set it up as a wireless bridge, my computers can see the wifi printer but the r7500v2 constantly crashes randomly.

Yes i am able to reach the printers web gui by typing its IP in the web browsers address bar. But when i send a print job to the printer, it says the printer is offline.

There are many ways to fix this ....all depending on what system you are running.
Basically you need to reconfigure all devices behind the CB to print to IP.
winders - usually change in control panel/printer/properties or just delete it and add new
finding printer by IP or name (static lease name) if running local DNS.

Hi,
I just flash my R7500v2 to kong netgear to dd-wrt and for some reason I am locked out of the router no matter which password I tried. I also tried the Hard Reset, 30/30/30 reset, and tftp to flash the router(it failed each time).Any help will be greatly appreciate.

The first time you access the router's webif it will tell you to set a password you can't proceeed otherwise. And there is no way, that it uses any password from another firmware e.g. netgear, as every other firmware for this router uses a completely different place to store the password.
Thus not sure what you mean by locked out.
And reset only works on this unit, if dd-wrt is running, since this is no broadcom unit, which clears nvram through cfe. _________________ KONG PB's: http://www.desipro.de/ddwrt/
