With the advent of much more use of IPV6, does DD-WRT have ip6tables and a IPV6 firewall?

If not, this is something that should be a major priority.

yep you can use IP6tables with DD-WRT + IPv6..
In general with ipv6 there is no need of NAT i believe, but it works if needed...

As with most things DD-WRT, "it depends". What make/model router do you have?

The builds for my RT-AC66U support IPv6 but not NAT.
The builds for my RT-N10+ don't support IPv6 at all.

Since approximately version 24500 any ddwrt distro that has the new ipv6 GUI will have a functioning ipv6 firewall. Take care in manually modifying these rules as most links / posts are outdated or contain incorrect information.

Exactly what I was going to say. I am using Hurricane Electric and tested firewall with this https://ipv6.chappell-family.com/ipv6tcptest/
