Important info is attached below.

Wifi only works without encryption, I flashed the files listed by the router database.


I think it is a problem with this firmware version specifically, perhaps there's a new one I could flash that would solve the problem?

WPA2 Personal + AES = Not connecting at all.
No Encryption = Connects and works fine.


I don't know how to solve this, really need help on this one. I'll provide more info if needed, but I think the attached screenshot should suffice.

Have you already tried WPA ?
SOme devices don't accept WPA2 security mode ...

No, I have not tried WPA but my devices connect with WPA2 just fine, so that can't be the problem.


I forgot to mention this is my secondary router, my primary router (RT-N12HP_B1) uses WPA2 and it works fine.

I'm pretty sure it has everything to do with this firmware version I'm currently running.

If there's an updated version of my firmware, could you kindly link me to it?

there is a version with delivery date earlier (only one month)
or in beta section you can find this one:

Thank you for the files.

I'm pretty new to DD-WRT, how did you get those files?

What buttons did you click on the DD-WRT website to get these?


Do you get it from http://www.dd-wrt.com/site/support/other-downloads ?



EDIT: Are you sure the tl-wr740nv4-webflash.bin you linked is different from mine? (newer version)

I've checked the md5 and it's the same file as I already flashed?


EDIT2: This thread http://dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?p=747602 has the exact same problem, in their case, it was the firmware's fault.

The specific firmware discussed in that thread does not work with wifi + encryption.


EDIT3: I'm flashing the beta.

Confirmed, the firmware was causing the problem.

I've flashed the latest beta and the problem is solved, wifi + encryption now works ! I'm hyped !

I was just about to flash tomato firmware if there wasn't a solution.Oh well Very Happy
