endless loop with openvpn on Netgear R6400
Code:
1645 1644 root R 768 0.3 0 49.9 /usr/sbin/ebtables -t nat -D POSTROUTING -o tap1 --pkttype-type multicast -j DROP
Out of curiosity, could ebtables rules be replaced by iptables rules? Or are they completely different things?
I don't remember anyone talking about ebtables since my first day with Linux. I do know ipchains though. _________________ Router: Asus RT-N18U (rev. A1)

Status: Working as a repeater.
Reset: Yes, as you have to go to the mini build before upgrading to the mega build. Did a restore to defaults when upgrading to the mini, then no reset upgrading to the mega from the mini build.
Errors: The signal strength stays at 100% all the time*, and a few RX errors. Haven't noticed anything else yet, it's our guest AP, so it's not used often really...
EDIT: *It seems it will sometimes go down to 96% or 92% for a second or so every now and then, so it's not -just- staying at 100%, though the AP and Repeater are in the same room with no walls between them, I don't think it's actually 100%. I recall others having this issue too, though it's really no big deal. The repeater works, it's just a kinda cosmetic issue. _________________ Deployed Routers:

1. The ipkg script is still using "wget --passive-ftp".
According to http://www.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=1538, the "--passive-ftp" option should have been removed. But in RT-N18U's DD-WRT, it's still there. And it seemed that the ipkg repository website didn't like passive-ftp.
2. IPKG_DIR_PREFIX in ipkg script is still using "/usr/local/lib/ipkg".
"/usr/local" is usually readonly. So would it be better to change that to "/jffs/usr/local/lib/ipkg"? We now have a function in Service->USB to mount other writable partitions as "jffs".
Alternatively, what if we could also mount other partitions as "/usr/local" in the web interface? _________________ Router: Asus RT-N18U (rev. A1)

Has anyone submitted the bug about ebtables (or whatever is causing it) to the bugtracker and if so can you provide link?
Yes. Having the same issue on my R7000. There's a few others that I've seen with the same problem. Most people probably aren't seeing it if they're not using OpenVPN + NAT protection, but it's likely affecting a lot more devices than noted.

Also seeing this on my hardware (added note to bug which you've probably already seen) just mentioning this so others know this is a commonly seen problem. _________________ Routers:
