I installed this file:

dd-wrt.v24-21676_NEWD-2_K2.6_mini-e1200v1

as instructed by the page for this firmware.

IPVanish tells me I need to update this so my router will work with their service.

They say it must be build 24716 or higher.

Could someone please point me to a file that would work, if there is one?

Thank you very much.

That router only have 4 mbit of flash. Not enough to run a vpn build. Get a better router.

Would a Linksys WRT350N or WRT600N be a good one to buy? I bought the first one listed in the "Which router should I buy?" in the Wiki, and now I know it is too old to be useful.

And could I put a build 24716 or higher in them?

Thanks.

As usual, the files linked in the hardware specific pages don't work, so I'll have to figure out what files to download if I get one of those. Sad

They are old routers with a 300 Mhz CPU that will max out on 5 mbit/s. What throughput with VPN are you expecting?
