Try Openwrt, I have installed it on my MR12

There is also a firmware for MR16.
You do need a Uart cable, more info below.

So I have a couple of MR12's that were left behind in an apartment. As most are aware, these are useless without an account. I tried to at least have Cisco contact the registered user/installer so they could release them from the existing account (or even reclaim then), but no luck. For all intents and purposes, they basically told me to throw them in the garbage.

Looking for a DD-WRT solution, I found this thread. Unfortunately, the only recommendation seems to be for Open WRT. After reading over their Wiki, the process seems quite involved and I really don't need another project at the moment.

In lieu of just tossing them, I figured maybe I could at least donate one for development, then actually use the other if a DD-WRT firmware became available. Would this be possible, or is there not enough interest? Also, if not here, where should I make this request? Thanks!
