Router: Linksys E3000
Firmware: dd-wrt.v24-32868_NEWD-2_K3.x_mega-e3000.bin
Reset: No
Errors:
  • Same problem as others with incomplete page on the Services tab. That, despite no reset. Firefox's source viewer shows this:
    Code:
    <script type="text/javascript">Capture(share.disable)</script></div><!--<div class="setting"><div class="label"><script type="text/javascript">Capture(service.dnsmasq_dnssec)</script>
Note the start of HTML comment that kills the rest of the page. The script tags are included for context.
  • wds.png is missing (404) when using Wiviz Survey. Also, hidden SSIDs show as question marks with what looks like a random number of characters (is this normal?).

DD-WRT v3.0-r32868 mega (07/27/17)
Linux 3.10.107 #15362 Thu Jul 27 09:41:22 CEST 2017 mips
[dd-wrt.v24-32868_NEWD-2_K3.x_mega.bin]

done an 'erase nvram'
download 55.54 Mbps .. SFE off
download 89.81 Mbps .. SFE on -- Wow this router never seen that before using a K3.x build

If you use one of the off color styles the services page is somewhat readable.
Router GUI Style 'xirian' probably the best which actually has the save & apply buttons.
QOS is completely borked but all else seems to work for me ... WiFi is good.

Confirmed that DNSSEC is causing this issue.
SSH into the box, nvram unset dnssec, dnssec_cu dnssec_proxy and the web interface gets fixed.

Here it doesn't (on a RT-N16 using K3.x big build).
Code:
# nvram show|grep dnssec
size: 31220 bytes (230924 left)

But SFE works fine, the RT-N16 delievers 200 Mbps download speed. It does use almost 100% CPU. CTF by Broadcom apparently spares from intensive processor usage.

Hardware: DIR-890L
DD-WRT Versions: r32753 and r32868

OpenVPN did not work with either version. Did a factory settings reset, 30-30-30 reset and reinstall of the firmware with clean config with only OpenVPN configured on both versions and no still no joy.

I went back to 32597 and had no issues.

Notes: It looked like it wasn't running at all when it was enabled in the GUI. I ssh'd to the router and ran ps...I didn't see openvpn running in either r32753 and r32868. The openvpncl directory was present, certs were present, openvpn.conf present, route-up.sh and route-down sh present, but no logs found. The Status-VPN screen was empty.

When I fell back to 32597, everything was there including the log files and everything present in Status-VPN.

EDIT: This is likely not a build related issue. When I rebooted my router, I couldn't get VPN started again. I will post a more detailed explanation elsewhere.

Alas, that doesn't work on my unit either when simply unset and page is reloaded or the browser is closed and opened with cache deleted (even after nvram commit for good measure). The settings are then recreated after reboot. They were all initially set to 0 anyway.

Router: Archer C9 v1
Firmware: r32868
Status: would not update
Reset: no
Errors: r32868 would not update from the webgui in r32753. Router rebooted back in to r32753 after trying to perform upgrade. Using the router as an AP with a WRT3200ACM as primary router running r32868.

Update: I re-downloaded the r32868 webflash file and tried it again. This time it updated after what seemed like a very long reboot (~3-4 minutes). Seems to be running fine with r32868; again, using the Archer C9 v1 as an AP so almost all extra features are turned off.

Using Fios, TP-LINK Archer C9 flashed with DD-WRT v3.0-r32868 std.

cannot change queueing discipline from SFQ to FQ_CODEL or CODEL or PIE. When I apply changes, it defaults back to SFQ. Can Change HTB or HFSC and the change sticks, but not the queueing discipline.

After so many problems, so many posts of bricked routers, why hasn't this build been pulled? Expect this post to be deleted or edited by moderators after so many of mine have been before for having the audacity to "complain" or warn others.

Sorry, the build is perfect. Never mind.
