Does DD-wrt support the Linksys EA8300? I just got one from a client and was looking to mod it with this firmware if possible.

Thanks in advance!

Mod note 04.18.24: Topic moved to Atheros & locked. Please continue discussion in Support for Linksys EA8300 -kp69

It says it have a IPQ4019 SOC, so it's not a Broadcom.

A look through the sites shows no firmware for EA8300.

Most likely the devs will need a donated router. I would suggest a PM to KONG here on the forums. Also, please note that support can take some time, it is not an overnight thing.

None of the routers with that chip in them have been supported yet.

Kong will at least need board pics.

If one is still needed I know where I can get a "recertified" for like 49 bucks, would that work, or does it have to be a virgin router out of a box?

I bought one for my house and using it now, so far no issues except that damned online linksys crap they try to force on you....

I was going to say, I saw commits for an 8 devices habanero. That same chipset is in several devices folks have been asking for support for. Here comes the can o' worms popping open.
