Hi all
My ISP give the gift to his customers and double the speed.
It was 100/2 Mbit/sec and now is 200/5 Mbit/sec. Good news.
Bad news: my router TP-Link Archer C7 V2.0 with QoS may give me only about one half of downstream speed. In best cases, I got about 115Mb, without QoS - about 180-190 Mb. SFE is on.

It is a little frustrating to get so low speed on gigabit router. I use P2P not so often, so may disable the QoS, but it is very sad.

Gigabit is only the switch speed....many routers are advertised as a Gigabit but this is only a marketing trick..

Very few routers can deliver a Gbit WAN performance, R7800 get's close...
With original FW Archer is good too. But it seems HW NAT still be a problem for custom FW. Without QoS it works acceptably too. I will do tests on other sites because Israel is connected to other countries with few cables and this impact to speed too.

for some good reason DD-WRT has good acceptable load balancing even without QoS, i ve never used it and no complains at all....consider my R7800 runs edge router with
a lots of wi-fi clients other routers and printers and switch and so on, all connected to it with no QoS and no SFE turned on...... _________________ Atheros

The speed you get by WiFi on Archer C7 V2 depends very much on the setup and the receiving devices.
I only use the 5Hz band, Mixed N/AC and VTH80. With this setup I have clients that behave differently (as expected due to the different capabilities these have):
1. Clients that only know N which are able to download with only about 160-170mbps.
2. Clients that are AC capable that download with 220-230mbps.
3. Clients (only one laptop from work) that is able to download with 260mbps.
So, it very much depends on the clients that are used.
PS: my ISP offers 300/150mbps which can be fully used on wired connection when the SFE is on.

it is my fault, connectivity was not described, but it was ethernet. And speed was jumped close to double without QoS. May it be impacted by wifi? No.

numerci you must be talking either about SFE turned on or IPv6 where there is no NAT, otherwise those results are not real for a single core CPU and DD-WRT, also do not mess with Wi-Fi speeds and WAN actual throughput both very different subjects.... _________________ Atheros

Belive me, these are the speeds I get by LAN and Wi-fi when the SFE is on. These are valid only from version 33006 and above. On 31899 when there was no SFE it was much slower... nothing went higher than 220mbps and that was by LAN.
Please keep in mind that is very dependent on the receiving client.
