The last time I updated my firmware was beginning of the year. Is this the correct link to the newest stable firmware? I have an R7000, Also what file do I use to update the .bin or .bin.sig

For your R7000, the correct file is "dd-wrt.v24-K3_AC_ARM_STD.bin"

The dd-wrt.v24-K3_AC_ARM_STD.bin.sig is used by DDUP to check the file is well downloaded.

The file is to use only if you are already on dd-wrt.
If you still on stock firmware, use the file "dd-wrt.K3_R7000.chk" to switch Wink

is it the dd-wrt.v24-K3_AC_ARM_R7000P.bin file or the dd-wrt.v24-K3_AC_ARM_STD.bin you mentioned?

Thanks!

Don't use the "R7000P" unless your device specifically says its a "P" They are different.

For the initial flash use the dd-wrt.K3_R7000.chk file...then use the dd-wrt.v24-K3_AC_ARM_STD.bin file after that or use the ddup utility.

hello does anyone have an Idea why I can not upgrade from the administrator tab. I am on firmware r28444 and would like to update, I found the files in the ftp site, they all fail. I have R7000 not the p. starts to load counts down to 299-297 and I get page can not display.the router freezes up.

I tried older version of DD-WRT for the R7000 in the ftp site,

I tried the telnet proceedure, I logged in and erased Nvram and rebooted, went to 192.168.1.1 DDUP is not found.

I went to netgear and download an older stock version.

they all fail.

thanks for any help

here are the Kong's versions
http://www.desipro.de/ddwrt/K3-AC-Arm/
and you'd need this one
http://www.desipro.de/ddwrt/K3-AC-Arm/dd-wrt.v24-K3_AC_ARM_STD.bin

ddup doesn't work with BS versions i guess
