wins support in samba dont work. i edit my smb.conf with several methods:
1)
nvram set samba3_conf='all default ddwrt config + wins support = yes + other name for test in local network'
after i reboot my router i do cat /tmp/smb.conf and it looks like it works becouse i see the name that i set in local network but on windows computer ipconfig /all show that wins is disable
2) i copy all config from /tmp/smb.conf to my hard drive mounted in /tmp/mnt/sda5 and i start smbd and nmbd with new config file from /mnt/sda5 again config seems to work i see in local network under windows router with the name what i change but again when i reboot my computer ipconfig /all show that wins support is disable
RT-AC68U, updated on on Dec from 33770M.
since the update I noticed some interruptions in the wifi signal, I'm using mainly 5.8Ghz signal.
Losing intenet for a short time and it comes back.
Went back to 33770M and will monitor. _________________ Netgear R9000 main router

Kernel: Linux 4.4.104 #480 SMP Sat Dec 9 00:51:32 CET 2017 armv7l
Previous: DD-WRT v3.0-r33986 std (12/04/17)
Mode/Status: Gateway/working
Reset: yes
Issues/Errors: None that I've noticed, but it shows a lot of TX errors which has me concerned.
So I was previously on the Brainslayer (I think) r33986 build and was having some issues with WiFi - have been told that Kong versions are more stable so moved over to this one and it seems the WiFi is working OK (although only been running it about 12 hours now).
But when I go to look at the dd-wrt Sys-Info page, it shows:
Wireless Packet Info
Received (RX): 417440 OK, no error
Transmitted (TX): 540555 OK, 76095 errors
That TX error number is definitely climbing - last night it was 4, this morning it was in the 60,000 range, and now it's 76,095. Should I be concerned about this? Any help/advice is greatly appreciated.
Also, just out of curiosity, what does the "M" at the end of the r34015M mean? And is this a standard build, big, mega, etc.?

Seems a bit high. You could be getting a lot of radio interference... have you tried a site survey?
For reference, here’s my results in a congested city environment. I’m running an older Kong build (r31870) with an uptime of 154 days.
5ghz radio
Received (RX): 393015498 OK, 2 errors
Transmitted (TX): 515479604 OK, 2257 errors
2.4ghz radio
Received (RX): 356155347 OK, 38 errors
Transmitted (TX): 741302698 OK, 15263 errors

Model AC68U
Just reporting, i really don't understand what exactly happened.
Yesterday, my router lost all settings, like nvram was reseted, when i did a power off/on using the physical button.
I have similar problems with huge TX errors on both 2.4 and 5, only after three days up. With 32170 version, my router (R8000) was up 180 days with relative errors less than 0.5% on both 2.4 and 5.

EDIT: I just wanted to update, after Google patched the Cast WiFi issue, my wireless is working normal now and the errors are back to being reasonable.
---
Seeing this as well, both radios. Noticed over the past few weeks a lot of devices failing to connect and I was having to power cycle the router.
Have a WiFi camera that was just disappearing from the network every day, it's only 10 feet from the router.
All Chromecast WiFi devices were disappearing, have to reboot the router, not the devices, to get them back.
Also have a WiFi garage door opener that was not connecting, have to power cycle the opener to resolve.

The most common cause of tx errors is radio interference, so you’ll want to rule that out first. I noticed an uptick when my neighbors’ routers were suddenly switching between channels 3, 4 and 9. I should change my SSID to “Channel 1, 6 or 11 only” or “get the hell off 40mhz wide”.

I'm gonna agree that's the issue here. I tried rolling back to older versions and I'm still having the issue. Something must have changed in the last few weeks for me, I can't narrow it down. Maybe my router has an actual physical issue...
Is there any way to track down the device causing the issue? That would help me out. I'm dealing with over 30 devices connected here

Do you have "No Acknowledgement" - Enabled in advanced wifi settings?

I'm facing the exact same issue. Rolled back to 33675M but still experiencing lot of TX errors
