I've got a WRT54G that I have with DD-WRT. Some time ago I switched it from Repeater mode to Repeater Bridge mode and now I no longer know how to access the Web GUI.

Instead I only know how to access the web GUI for the main router that has internet access, but not my WRT54G that is being used as a repeater bridge.

When I was originally using repeater mode, the 2 routers had 2 separate IP addresses, so I could easily access the Web GUI for both. After switching to Repeater Bridge, now I have no idea how to go about accessing the Web GUI of my WRT54G.

I read somewhere that one way to do it would be to reset the router, which would take it out of repeater bridge mode, but that kind of defeats the purpose for many reasons. There must be some way for me to access the WebGUI and change settings when needed without having to completely reset it to the default state every time. Thanks a ton in advance to anyone who can help.

When you setup the repeater bridge ( https://www.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/Repeater_Bridge ) you set the IP address of the repeater bridge, the address should be in the address range of the subnet but outside the DHCP range.

Assuming your main router is at 192.168.1.1 and have a netmask of 255.255.255.0 then you have 253 available addresse where your repeater bridge might be and normally 100-150 is the DHCP range so it shouldd not be there.
Usually one sets the repeater bridge at 192.168.1.2 so try that one first and then try other IP addresses.

Of course you can use an IP scanner like angry IP to look for available addresses

Unfortunately I've still had no luck. I tried about 100 of the IP's in that range but it was very time consuming and it went nowhere. So eventually I downloaded the legacy version of Angry IP Scanner. I did an IP scan in that range and most of them came back dead except for a few.

The IP for the main router's web GUI is 192.168.0.1. One of the IP's that came up on the scan was 192.168.0.252, while the rest were all low numbers so I thought hm that's strange, that must be the IP for the web GUI. But I typed it into a browser and it wouldn't connect. I assume it's supposed to show up blue in the IP scan? It doesn't make sense because I've tried all the IP's not labelled as dead and none of them work except for the main router's web GUI. Is it possible the address is not in that range of 1 to 255?

I'm not sure what I should do from here.
