I was flashing it, and power went off. Now when I plug it in, power indicator will always blink. Ping won't find it at 192.186.1.1, so doesn't Firmware Recovery tool. When I plug in LAN, the indicator will show connection on the router, but still, laptop can't find it. Any advice?

Bricked???

Bricked Asus RT-N16

Another result I found with Google involving factory firmware:

What if you bricked your RT-N16 with a firmware upgrade?

Failed flash (of the correct firmware) wouldn't cause a hard brick; flashing the wrong firmware could/would.

Exactly what steps did you take? Follow the Recovery wiki? Static IP and all? Hub or switch used? You only get a second at powerup to catch TFTP.

I was actually using web interface to return to Asus Firmware latest from their site.
Honestly, won't remember if it was hub or switch...
TFTP ain't a case, ping doesn't find it with static IP... Recovery wiki - I am stuck at the second (or third) step - ping 192.168.1.1

Sorry, I should've mention that sherbyna.com thing was tried and failed me.
Tried the first link you gave... Doesn't connect to the device either... The firmware mentioned there is no longer available, and I got the new mini, though it doesn't matter, the tftp proggy can't even erase firmware on device, goes 20 cicles trying to connect and that's it...

Should mention that this thing "ping 192.168.1.1 and an instantaneous response of "TL=100" or "TL=64" should appear. If this happens, you have successfully entered "Save My Ass Mode"" doesn't happen. It only says that 4 packages were lost...

You might want to print or store the instructions for future emergence use. Keep the files needed in an disk archive as well. Glad you solved the problem.
