I've had the Linksys WRT1900ACS v2 for perhaps 8 or 9 months now. I've done several revisions of DD-WRT and haven't had a problem. So from my experience, the router has been stable, high performance (I measure my wireless speeds with iperf3) and has worked well for our household usage. I'm glad I haven't run into the troubles that others have reported here. I suppose my home network just isn't sophisticated enough to run into issues. _________________ FIRMWARE: 6-20-2018 - r36168

I agree that by and large my WRT1900ACSV2 has also not caused me huge headaches...But that's because I am primarily a 99 percent wired network. My criticism of the router was more to do with Linksys and their failure to update the router with their official firmware in more than 6 months now...If this were a normal period that would not have been as much an issue but given the KRACK and other vulnerabilities that have happened since July to not have patched the firmware for those is inexcusable on a current model. So right now for these routers the only way to ensure increased wifi security is to use third party firmware. I've received FOUR firmware updates on a much cheaper Netgear router I've had in this same period (Since July). Guess which router I will most likely buy after I get rid of the Linksys. However I will keep it on 3rd Party firmware if Linksys continues to fail in their responsibility until WPA3 is implemented. Whether or not WPA3 could ever be implemented on our current routers with 3rd party firmware is an unknown.

Mate so which one should i install for the WRT 1200AC
Always start with the most recently released build, but check the new build thread first to make sure no one has discovered any major problems.
If it’s unstable then work your way back.

Also using a WRT1900ACS v2 and have been running it for about a year now. I upgrade to the latest brainslayer beta builds when then they become available. For now though I will stay on r34578.
This is a rock solid router in my opinion. My setup is pretty complex with multiple Wifi SID's, bridges, as well as multiple DHCP servers. Was thinking of upgrading to a WRT3200 but dont see the benefit right now. _________________ Linksys WRT1900ACv2 - My new go to build: DD-WRT v3.0-r44048 std (08/02/20) - STABLE
My WRT1900ACv2 has now been serving me for more than 5years Most reliable router I have ever owned!
Hi,
is Kongs K3-AC-MVEBU Firmware also ok for Linksys WRT1200ACv2? It has the Marvell Armada 385 CPU. At the moment i'm on DD-WRT v3.0-r34080 std (12/14/17) but it only works wih static DNS entries and i i have to reboot every single week. Because most of my client's (PC, Mobile Phones, Chromecast, Chromecast Ultra) loose connection every now and then.
