Then you will be able to read what the router is doing what it is looking for. TFTP is the best way to recover Asus router's. Their built in CFE recovery page has only ever caused me headaches. I usually end up sending a command via serial to force the router to look for a file, send the file using TFTP32 (client mode). Then wait, and wait, and wait. I once had to leave the thing for almost an hour before it finished flashing. I did not even lose my dd-wrt settings. Note, I have an Asus N66U. _________________ Before asking a question on the forums, update dd-wrt: Where do I download firmware? I suggest reading it all.

He already did that. Lol _________________ I am far from a guru, I'm barely a novice.

It is a matter of finding the correct serial command. The issue that I see is that it can not find the nvram, that is not a good sign. _________________ Before asking a question on the forums, update dd-wrt: Where do I download firmware? I suggest reading it all.

Yes but you told him to buy a usb-ttl adapter when by his post it was already clear he had one hooked up and posted the output. _________________ I am far from a guru, I'm barely a novice.
