Hello my friends
Good Morning

I would like some help from you, because I can not create a wifi guest network on this router. I followed several tutorials on youtube of similar firmware but it does not work. I can even create the wifi network but it does not surf, there is no internet because something is not right in the configuration. Could you help me?
I want to disable the default Wi-Fi network of this router and leave only the guests and the networks do not talk. anyone accessing the guest network will not have access to my local network. understood

I'm waiting
thank you so much.

Hi i followed the instructions in the link you provided and i have some problems.

If i'm already connected to my home network and then tries to connect to the guest network, i do not have any internet access. This is same vice versa.

Is this normal?

My problem is described by this post: https://www.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?p=967623

Did you reboot?

Do you have a connection with the guest Wifi?
Do you get an IP address and DNS assigned?
Can you ping your router?
Can you ping 8.8.8.8?

Is the router configured not in default gateway mode but as a Wireless Access Point?

It is helpfull if you give us more information, especially your network setup.

Attached my notes for setting up maybe they are helpfull

Yes i did reboot and the problem persists.

I was able to get the guest ip address and the DNS, but when i switch from the guest to the home network, i was not able to obtain my home ip address.

Good afternoon friends
unfortunately I did everything that you suggested and it does not work.
I followed several topics, tutorials, videos in youtbe, and it does not work.
I can connect in the virtual network, but I can not navigate, there is no internet.
the settings I made were identical, connect in the network with another ip, but without internet.
I do not know what else to do. this my router is in dhcp mode disabled. is just a repeater for my room to work on the local network through the cable, but I want to use my cell phone on his wifi only where it has a different network from my local network.
who distributes ip is my server

192.168.0.1 - main router with internet
192.168.0.3 - server
192.168.0.40 - router from my room connected with the cable on the lan port

I created the virtual network with ip 192.168.1.1
enabled dhcpd on RA1 interface

below are the information that shows me on the WIFI tab
Wireless Physical Interface wl0 [2.4 GHz]
Physical Interface ra0

when I create the virtual network, enable the ra1 interface

I believe that this part is correct because it distributes IP, the same problem is in navigation that does not exist.

What else do I need to do?
awaiting
thank you

Well one of my questions was:
Quote:
Is the router configured not in default gateway mode but as a Wireless Access Point?

It maybe is?

If so you need the extra firewall rule as described in the last chapter of my notes: VAP on a WAP

iptables -t nat -I POSTROUTING -o br0 -j SNAT --to `nvram get lan_ipaddr`

iptables -I FORWARD -i wl0.1 -d `nvram get lan_ipaddr`/`nvram get lan_netmask` -m state --state NEW -j REJECT

that's right
it is not the default gateway.
it's just a wifi signal repeater and cable for my pc
but I would like his wifi to transmit the internet to another network other than my local network

How do I have to configure this?
and how do I change the information of your command regarding the interfaces that my router stipulates?

Did you read my notes?

It is is in there:
If you place the VAP on a wireless access point (a secondary router with a disabled WAN, no DHCP and on the same subnet as a the primary router) then you have to add the following rule to the firewall in order to get internet access from the VAP.
In the web-interface of the router: Administration/Commands save Firewall:
Code:
iptables -t nat -I POSTROUTING -o br0 -j SNAT --to `nvram get lan_ipaddr`

Good morning mate
finally worked out.
I did not know that I had to make more advanced configurations, because I do not understand commands and firewall. now with this command worked. it was just that. this router is secondary with dhcp disabled and cable connected to the LAN port.

but I had to put my main gateway in the configuration to be able to run internet only if it only connected to the wifi but did not browse.
Thank you so
