Hi, I just upgraded my tp-link 1043ND v2 to the latest version.
ftp://ftp.dd-wrt.com/betas/2018/02-17-2018-r35034/tplink_tl-wr1043nd-v2/tplink_tl-wr1043nd-v2.bin

The upgrade went well, but after the upgraded, I lost connectivity on my pc and mobile.
Ok
I'm using a Huawei e303 modem to connect to 3g network.

It was working well before the upgrade.
But no internet connectivity now.

I can browse the ddwrt web interface.
I can ping any site from Administration > Commands.
But can't ping any site from pc or mobile.
Did hard rest after the flash.
If shows a WAN IP 10.82.186.227 which is normal I think.

What could be the cause and how can I fix it?

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks.

P.S. It seems I've posted in wrong section.
Please move it to correct section.

You should change your Subject (in your first post) to indicate this is for a 3G modem.

What version did you have before? Here are the latest changes:
http://svn.dd-wrt.com/log/src/router/libutils/libutils/lib3g.c?rev=35034

I suspect there are problems with both BS and Kong's most recent builds. I also lost connectivity with Kong 34030 and had to revert to an older build. My advice would be to roll-back.

Some build from 2015. Starting with 25xxxx
I reverted back 25760, everything is fine now.

Latest working build for mobile broadband was 28846 or one or two before that one.

Ticket 4745: 3G & 4G Broadband Modems broken in r25948 and later
Ticket 5307: Mobile Broadband not working with my 4G modem since 28815
Though I think that only affected certain modems...? Apparently including the Huawei e303. :-/

3g works with 33772 on my TL-WR1043 Rev 1.8.

Tried upgrading to 34311 but had to revert since 3g was faulty. I'm using a Medion Mobile S4222 (MediaTek OEM) 3g-modem.

Didn't try later versions because I've become tired of repeating the a little bit cumbersome update procedure at the cli every one or two weeks since upgrading via gui is broken in all versions after 33345.

Is there any advantage over 25760? Or should I stay happy with 25760 since everything works properly?

Also, aren't the newer versions supposed to "solve" problems rather than introducing them (I.e. Gui firmware upgrade broken, 3g/4g broken)?

Pardon me if I missed something obvious here.

I have also been going through hoops with these later builds, I am using 4G broadband connection.
Been switching between two units, one Atheros, one Broadcom.

My reason for trying these later builds was due to "krack" vulnerability patch, but
I have encountered connection lock-up issues when the unit is heavily loaded, had to power cycle units.

Some of the r25xxx and r28xxx build seemed more stable.

For the time being using a ZTE MF286 unit instead of dd-wrt.

https://download1.dd-wrt.com/dd-wrtv2/downloads/betas/2017/11-04-2017-r33679/

unfortunately, with later releases mbb stopped working again - iptables issue

May I ask which 4G modem you are using? I need to get one too.

First You did a good job and sorry you use an old modem of Huawei. Internet technology has been changing for its use of fiber optic and other advanced technology. It is a USB based modem to use in a rural area. Simple use of it's setting as adopter tab, properties, and 3g Mode. Then restart your pc.

my personal setup consists of a DWM-222A1 (currently stuck on r36154) as live modem, a Huawei E372 (still 3G - not working with current releases) as test stick and Sierra EM7455 as target (not working yet).

Mobile Broadband and DD-WRT are a difficult and fragile combination.

I'm thinking about replacing hardware and switching to Openwrt. You need to keep the family happy Smile
