ASUS provides a TFTP Rescue Utility which is avaiable only for Windows.
However, you can still recover it from Linux/OSX by using the following commands:
tftp 192.168.1.1
mode binary
put firmware.trx
quit
P.S: in order to active TFTP rescue, you need to perform these steps:
Power off the router.
Press and keep the reset button.
Power on the router.
After about 10-20 seconds you can release the reset button.
The router is now in rescue mode.
This router also has two serial port so no worries. _________________ ASUS GT-BE98 PRO Main: Fiber 5gbps up/down

Debricking is an easy process is ASUS routers. Reverted back to the previous build (34929) on my Asus RT-87u and ran my settings script and all my previous settings got restored in a couple of minutes. All good now!
