|
Hi all, i'm a newbie here.
I have a problem with my Dlink 890L which running DD_WRT v3.0 r35767 std (04/19/18 )
Hope you guy can give me some advice. I'm very appreciated.
Here is my config:
1. Main Router (from ISP)
2. Dlink 890L use as repeater bridge, i put it in my room. I'm follow the guide setup in here: https://www.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/Repeater_Bridge
I have create a virtual interface (diferent main SSID), all my devices working fine with it for about 4 hours and then no internet access until i do the reboot on Dlink 890L.
When the virtual interface SSID freeze i can still access Dlink 890L by cable and everything seem normal.
Could you guys please help! I really stuck in here. |

It should be fine for internet access with few clients, but more clients or more complicated networking is likely to cause trouble, since MAC addresses will not transverse its bridge. In contrast, WDS is a transparent bridge and useful for these things. Also, the primary host router's log can be full of arp spoofing attempts if it has ARP Spoofing Protection enabled in its security. Repeater (Broadcom) is much more suitable to use for extending wireless; if WDS is not available. | Look up the specs for your ISP router's wireless. If Broadcom, try setting up WDS, otherwise use Repeater. If clients' need LAN access across the subnets, set up firewall rules for it. _________________ # NAT/SFE/CTF: limited speed w/ DD # Repeater issues # DD-WRT info: FAQ, Builds, Types, Modes, Changes, Demo #

Try using Kong's latest test build (35550M).
After flashing, reset to defaults using "erase nvram;reboot" then reconfigure your repeater bridge. _________________
