firmware seemed to be running stable but when I was making changes to the DNSMasq settings intermitantly it started crushing all my static DNS entries Sad

Further to this I find that changes to Additional DNSMasq Options it will sometimes crush my static IP assignments (leaving a bunch of blank boxes that unfortunately stick on reboot) It will also sometimes break port forwarding til reboot.

And on the port forwarding, I find that is I have a source net configured in the last port forwarding entry, new entries will grab that same source net and won't stick any changes. only wasy I could get it to stick was remove all the bottom entries with source net and readd them at the end after adding any changes in. Again, port forwarding can also break until reboot on changes. Not consistant, but for sure was happening.

TP-Link TL-WR841ND v8_3
Does not work as router. Does not distribute the Internet. Previous version is work fine. I try reboot, implement old settings, but router work only when revert to DD-WRT v3.0-r35667 std version.
Other routers like as TL-WR841ND_V7 and WR-941nd_v6 (worcking in client mode) works fine.

Router Model: Netgear R9000 (Brand New)
Firmware Version: DD-WRT v3.0-r35681 std (04/06/1Cool
Kernel Version: Linux 4.9.92 #151 SMP PREEMPT Mon Apr 2 01:05:13 CEST 2018 armv7l
Previous: Netgear Factory Firmware (R9000-V1.0.2.40)
Reset: Yes
Uptime: 13:45 (HH:MM)
Issues: None found.

First time using DD-WRT. Great Wiki/Forum information. Flashed image without issues then used WebGui update.

This replaced my Linksys E4200(factory no DD-WRT). Speedtests went from 120Mbps to 180Mbps download!

Yes I realized however, the problem with my TP-Link Archer c9 v1 is when I implement the ebtable workaround, it ruins QoS, ignores max transfer speeds, causes huge buffer bloat, eratic speeds, packet loss. Without the ebtables workaround, OpenVPN won't work and CPU is 50% maxed (dual core).

I am stuck, truly. Please help. Can someone help me build my router firmware from source? I can't figure a way to do it without 18 gigs of download. I read the wiki a bit. As I understand, the corrupt ebtables is the result of something going wrong with the build bot producing the firmware for my router. (I don't know if that's true or not, but someone said building from source for yourself fixes the problem.)

Since using the ebtables workaround breaks things that I need and the firmware after 09-22-2016-r30681-k3.10.103 was last firmware without corruption when everything works. Problem is that it is not patched for krak vuln.

Effectively all new firmware is broken in one way or another for my router (TP-Link Archer C9 V1, either by substituting ebtables or by not doing so. Crying or Very sad

I cannot speak as to the other issues people are experiencing as my use case is different. I can say w/without ebtables workaround (multiple versions I've tried, on usb or jffs, no difference, still breaks more than it fixes.) Confused My router isn't the only one with this problem in regards to the ebtables. Embarassed

Router Model TP-Link WR1043ND V2
Firmware Version DD-WRT v3.0-r35681 std (04/06/1Cool
Kernel Version Linux 3.18.102 #11796 Fri Apr 6 06:21:13 CEST 2018 mips

Errors:
1. These error messages appear on syslog from time to time.
Quote:
httpd: Request Error Code 408: No request appeared within a reasonable time period.
httpd: Authentication fail
httpd: Request Error Code 401: Authorization required. please note that the default username is "root" in all newer releases

2. Every hour router connects to ntp server for update. Why every hour? can it be changed to 6, 12 or even 24 hrs?
Quote:
ntpclient: Connecting to pool.ntp.org [78.46.53.8] ...
ntpclient: Time set from pool.ntp.org [78.46.53.8].
process_monitor: cyclic NTP Update success (servers pool.ntp.org)

3. All mobile devices connected to the router have an exclamation mark on the wifi icon with a message that says "Internet may not be available", internet is available though but lagging.
I managed to find a fix that is somehow not practical by changing the dns server in the wifi settings for every mobile device from the router address to google dns address.
That made the problem disappear and the net became responsive again on the devices.
What might have caused this problem? Can it be a new setting that I am not aware of?

Hello,

webupgrade is broken again in this build. The device almost immediately restarts without having updated.

I know that this is intended by Brainslayer (like it was in 33375) but what for?

Kind regards,

TP-link Archer c7 v4 EU

Used as a secondary router, with a wired connection to a primary router. DHCP set to forwarder and WAN disabled.

Firmware: DD-WRT v3.0-r35681 std (04/06/18 ), updated directly from the stock firmware.

No errors so far, wired and wireless connections work fine, 5Ghz wifi radio connects at 1300 Mb/S.

My 841ND v8 is working fine as a WDS Station. Good amount of uptime, >1 day at least. I would suggest upgrading and then reset to defaults. Then input all of your settings in manually (don't use a back-up file).

Port forwarding is not working with previous settings.
Caught SIGSEGV when field "Source Net" is empty. Empty fields must be set to "0.0.0.0/0" to work again.

How did you manage to isolate your guest network? I tried to do it by the guide provided online, but still had dhcp problems.

Apologies for just now seeing this - are you still having issues with guest network?

Here is the overview - let me know if you need more details...

I never got it working with the additional virtual interface - so I just selected one of the primary radios (ath0) as the dedicated guest network.
Under setup - networking:
I added a second bridge, br1
In the assign to bridge section, assign br1 to ath0.
Under network configuration of br1, i enabled all the options and then set the network and netmask with a public dns.
Then at the bottom where DHCPD is, I added DHCP 0 and assigned it to br1 with the starting ip and max number.
So guests get a completely separate network ip, are isolated from the rest of the network, and are handed off directly outside the lan to the wan.

Hope that helps.

FWIW, I just upgraded to GB FIOS and while my original Actiontec verizon router would not get anything higher than 625Mbps down, once I put this device on it i am now getting 935/895 Mbps down/up.
