Build : r35898

Router : Linksys E900 N300

----------------------------------------
a couple days ago, I just bought a second hand healthy Linksys E900 that still using stock rom the entire of its life.

after i received it, i proceed to read all the peacock announcement, guide, and flash dd-wrt.

the migration process seems ok but when the router finished booting up i cannot access all available interface (Telnet,SSH,WebGUI). i checked the ipconfig and the dhcp server seems working just fine but When i ping the router i got RTO'ed all the time even though i reset it (30-30-30).

The bootloader still responding to ping (TTL 100).

so i tried to flash the stock firmware using the tftp mode (i read the tftp flash guideline btw) using the software that provided on the guideline page. the software said that the upload was succeeded and according to the guideline it should be accessible after waiting 2 minutes post flashing. but mine, the wps led keep blinking even though i wait for 4 hours and cannot get into all available interface (ssh, etch)

i've tried all kind of firmware (off course not any firmware but firmware that made for my router) but return to no avail.

any idea how to fix this without using USB JTAG ? (that tool is very expensive on my country for some reason and i don't want to import it from china because the tax on my country is just ridiculous)

N.B : i'm not native english speaker. please ask if you don't understand my problem.

By 'guide' you mean the E900 wiki right? That's good work, but you should have also read the build thread, as builds after 35531 have broken wireless for k2.x and k3.x bcm (will be fixed in the next build). :-/ Not that it should cause a brick, but the E-series routers are finicky.

After the initial flash, did you try the wireless? The LAN ports are known to sometimes not work on that model, as noted in the wiki. It also used to state initial flash should use 21676_NEWD-2_K2.6_mini-e900.bin but that was removed to say "a trailed build, that includes 'E900' in the name found in the K26 folder," which is not good, for reasons you've now found.

You shouldn't need JTAG; if TFTP doesn't work, use Serial Recovery.
