Tried setting up wireless link between my fiber modem and a TV-receiver using two old wrt54s sitting in a closet. Configured a WDS-bridge between the routers without any issues but the actual TV-transmission doesn't seem to go through the link. Have disabled 'filter multicast' and also disabled the firewall on both routers entirely but no luck.
The firmware on the wrt54s are old, could this have anything to do with failing? Any thoughts? _________________ Netgear R7000 on Build 55109

A HD channel is 15 Mbyte/s. The speed for multicast over wifi is the base speed 6 Mbyte/s. The link will be saturated.
That maybe an issue but the main problem is that no multicast traffic seem to get through the link. _________________ Netgear R7000 on Build 55109

Multicast may not be implemented in old builds.
It probably have to be manually configured with the igmpproxy.conf file. Set upstream and downstream interfaces.
