I just had Centurylink installed with the ONT and it works great... just not with my WRT1200AC v1 router on DDWRT. I can get connected with PPPoE on the stock firmware but I cannot get it connected with DDWRT.
I obviously added my username and password.
I added a VLAN tag e0 -> vlan 201
Changed the WAN interface to e0.201
Rebooted everything and waited. Nothing.
WAN IP is 0.0.0.0
Search this forum on how to use SWCONFIG to configure VLAN.
Changed my mind openwrt is not working for me. I'm having trouble finding SWCONFIG information. I'm not sure how to configure the code. I found this site:
http://trac.gateworks.com/wiki/OpenWrt/swconfig
Can someone help with configuring WAN for vlan tagging 201 using swconfig?
Found some more information and tried some code but the router just locks up requiring a power cycle.
Code:
swconfig dev eth0 set reset
swconfig dev eth0 set enable_vlan1
swconfig dev eth0 vlan 1 set vid 201
swconfig dev eth0 vlan 1 set ports '0 4t'
swconfig dev eth0 set apply
So I ended up switching over to OpenWRT and have been using it a while but only on an older firmware, the new one does not work. I'm now needing the new one to work for reasons. So I'm going to be posting over there for some help
