TP-Link TL-WR841ND v12

installed 05-13-2018-r35927 without problems, but had a reboot after ~1,5 days uptime.

went back to 05-07-2018-r35898, which I found quite stable

I have no idea when this bug was introduced, but it has been in the dd-wrt firmware for a while now. I'm using 33986 for now since it doesn't have this issue.

EDIT:
This bug was introduced in build 34411 (01-07-2018) and is in every single dd-wrt version after that.

The last working firmware without this bug is:
Firmware Version: DD-WRT v3.0-r34311 (12/29/17)
It's running
Kernel Version: Linux 3.18.90 #4720 Fri Dec 29 03:23:30 CET 2017 mips

Did you see that BS replied to you in the 35831 build thread?

that means the dhcpfwd wasnt started due a config error

please post /tmp/dhcp-fwd/dhcp-fwd.conf
but for sure it can only work if wan is enabled. since its forwarding dhcp from wan port. if wan is disabled, it will not start

Upgraded from 21061 via web interface.

Had this router collecting dust for years because I didn't realize that there were known wifi issues with build 21061 (at the time I chalked flaky wifi up to it being a budget router). Have been using a Linksys WRT54G running 13064 but was recently being disconnected from the internet and initially was power cycling the modem to get the internet working, but eventually had to power cycle the Linksys too. Although the Linksys' web interface was reachable, it looked like it didn't have much free memory so figured might be worth having a look at the D-Link again. Happy to report that everything seems OK with WiFi on the D-Link after the firmware update and I even successfully enabled QoS which used to crash the Linksys. If the internet drops out again I'm going to blame the modem which is now 15 years old Shocked

The machine rebooted after "installing" the updated firmware, but remained on the previous version. I think the firmware for this router is larger than the router's memory. Last working version was v3.0-r35681 std (04/06/18), which also happens to be the last image less than 16MB in size.

During this time (1-2 seconds), LAN, WAN and WLAN are down. Windows doesn't seem to care, but some online services do care and you have to restart whatever it is that you were transferring, watching or playing.

E: I would make a ticket, but I can't register on the svn. Doesn't matter what I write as email, username or other info, I just get:
"Submission rejected as potential spam"

Issues: Working, with syslog spam as follows.

May 16 22:42:00 dominroutrix user.info : dhcpfwd : dhcp forwarder daemon successfully started

that means the dhcpfwd wasnt started due a config error

please post /tmp/dhcp-fwd/dhcp-fwd.conf
but for sure it can only work if wan is enabled. since its forwarding dhcp from wan port. if wan is disabled, it will not start
