Hi,
So I work from home and my company has approved $450 USD, for me to be able to buy a good modem and router. Anyone have any suggestions? If there is a link to a tier list someone can give me I would appreciate it. Also, sry im not super up to date on the latest router news.

Thank You

On which modem: Make sure to check what the requirements are from your ISP before buying one.

Not sure where you are, but in the US most ISPs are required to allow you use a router which you own. Though they do often make it difficult. Modems are supposed to be treated the same way, but that is not always done. They will control what you can use. But they "should" have a list of what modems they consider acceptable. If you buy your modem, you save the rental fees & also avoid lots of hassles. But you will not be able to control it and may not be "allowed" to even see its logs.

Do NOT use a gateway (integrated Modem-router combination). Even if you own your modem the ISP will still have complete control of it. You want to keep the complete ability to control and set up your router.
