What version of the Linksys Stock Venom Firmware are you on?
Do you have a WRT32X or a WRT32XB?
The current version for the WRT32X is: 1.0.180404.58
I got the normal Wrt32x with firmware: 1.0.180404.58
FLashing over serial also doesnt work :/

The part of the discussion I'm referring to is about the 32 byte offset.
There was a patch applied to correct the problem with the firmware not recognizing both partitions. I don't know if was applied to the current build, but if it was that may be the problem.
@ghoffman & I both applied the patch after we had the firmware already installed.
Maybe a future build will work for you from Venom GUI. He's been fixing them pretty quickly so it shouldn't be too long of a wait. _________________ DD-WRT Installation & Setup TUTORIAL http://www.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=311117

the davidc builds up today are the same that i originally flashed via the factory web interface.
please note that i have a wrt32xb. this is the same as some wrt32x (the ones with spansion rom) but not the same as the original wrt32x or wrt3200acm.
the advanced-reboot patch was added to the lede/openwrt build git, but that was after the davidc build.

Yes, definitely! I took the u-boot environment from my stock WRT32X and posted the commands a page or two back in this thread. _________________ DD-WRT Installation & Setup TUTORIAL http://www.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=311117

These Commands are not allowed to have an = in between:
setenv priKernAddr=0x0900000
setenv altKernAddr=0x8400000
setenv altFwSize=0x7B00000
setenv priFwSize=0x7B00000
This one needs to have the first = removed:
setenv mtdparts=mtdparts=armada-nand:2048K(uboot)ro,128K(u_env),256K(s_env),256K@8064K( devinfo),123m@9m(firmware1),123m@132m(firmware2)
And this command leeds to a kernel_panic event:
setenv altnandboot=setenv bootargs console=ttyS0,115200 root=/dev/mtdblock8 $mtdparts;n and read $defaultLoadAddr $altKernAddr $altKernSize; bootz $defaultLoadAddr

I took the commands that were used to convert a WRT32X to a WRT3200ACM and just reversed them with the variables from a stock WRT32X U-BOOT environment.
I'm sure someone with A LOT more knowledge than me will jump in soon.
