I am running DD-WRT v3.0-r51506 on a WRT3200ACM. I am connnecting as a MacOS client to the lan, while using LinkLiar for macOS. LinkLiar spoofs your mac's mac address before connecting to the router. Similar to macchanger.
After connecting my mac client to the router, I notice that DDWRT actually detects a spoofed mac address in the DDWRt logs.
Code:
Oct 6 14:34:45 DD-WRT-HOST kern.err kernel: [ 1429.353202] arp spoofing detected ip=192.168.1.10 mac is 3c:2b:12:D4:7c:42 but should be 3c:2b:12:d2:8c:32
Oct 6 14:34:52 DD-WRT-HOST kern.err kernel: [ 1436.534451] arp spoofing detected ip=192.168.1.10 mac is 3c:2b:12:D4:7c:42 but should be 3c:2b:12:d2:8c:32

How does ddwrt know this, and how can I set up my mac so that it properly spoofs the wireless clients mac address without DDWRT detecting a spoofed mac?
Thanks for any tips and advice _________________ DanRanRocks - Tech Tutorials by Dan Ran

Why do you wanna spoof? I have never ever needed to do it, at least, not using software to deliberately attempt it.
