Hi,
I found that when using the built-in lighttpd server by enabling it from the GUI, the configfile at /tmp/lighttpd.conf is loaded. Since /tmp is not persistent, changes I make to this file are lost on reboot.
I also tried NOT enabling lighttpd from the GUI and doing it with a saved startup command instead, but it seems like doing that does not work quite the way I expect. Specifically, it is not accessible even though the process seems to be running.

Question 1: Where does the default lighttpd load its config file into /tmp from? How to modify the defaults there?

Question 2: Where is the HTTP / HTTPS port & WAN access information stored that corresponds to the checkboxes in the GUI? For my 2nd attempt above, maybe the latter information is missing. It does not appear to be in the config file (Ok the ports look like they are, but not the WAN access as far as I can find)

Thanks,

The gui will first look at /jffs/etc/ lighttpd.conf for the config file.
So put your own config file there.
