For future reference, any time this occurs, there is server maintenance going on, specifically database maintenance.
if it's a scheduled maintenance, is it possible to have an announcement in this subforum so that everyone don't need to keep hitting F5 or open 100 Trac tickets or create 100 duplicate topics or send 100 PMs?
The announcement can be made sticky and locked, and to be edited when needed, for example:

Apart of that some maintenance happens on the fly, no idea why people create ticket's at the SVN..
If site is down you can always check it...via ...whatever...than you wait, than its back again..
I dont think Brain Slayer (BS) is unaware, when those accidents happen...so, no need to blood clot..
