Un-rar it first, you will get .bin file to flash.

I'm getting code pattern incorrect as well. 192.168.1.1 pings fine but when into the command line I enter:
tftp -i 192.168.1.1 put dd-wrt.v24_std_generic.bin

I get "Error on server: code pattern incorrect"

I have navignated to the directory that the generic firmware is in "C:\\Users\Jeff\Downloads\"

Wow, I decided to just use the mini firmware to play around...unbelievable.
I tested this with my neighbor's network in repeater bridge mode, and it's just as fast as my home network.

Awesome! 8)

(neighbor happens to have a wrt54g!)
