Since I'm tinkering anyway, I've ordered an ESR-9750G to look at. I think the basic radio platform is the same as the ECB-9500 but we will see what I find.

I've gotten my ESR-9750G in and it's a nice piece of hardware. I can't find any headers on the board for serial or JTAG but I haven't examined it thoroughly yet. It doesn't respond to ping during boot and attempts to telnet to the default IP during boot fails. Other than the GUI flash interface I haven't found a way in yet.

I have soldered pins to the J1 and seem to get some output on the two pins closest to the RT2880 chip but I can't find a serial rate that shows anything legible.
I measure the voltage and the two pins in J1 further away from the RT2880 chip show ground and 3.3 volts.

ok. i will check if senao can send us one router for porting
That sounds good. I really like the unit as it has Gig-E and 802.11n. It has terrific range and I feel the value of the unit and a DD-WRT license would be very good.
I ordered my ESR-9750g and ECB-9500 from your company and I'm very pleased with the price and delivery time. I have tried to e-mail you through the keenansystems web site but didn't get a response from anyone.
If Sash is able to get a unit from Senao and we get DD-WRT on this platform I feel it will blow away the more commonly known consumer WiFi devices. Even after you tack on the price of a DD-WRT license it is cheaper than most of the units out there and the wireless range/performance with the stock firmware is great! Of course it is also a plus that you can change the antenna since so many consumer models have gone to permanent internal antennas.

It's been a "while" and I'm curious if there may be any testing done or code I can try on the ESR-9750G.
Sash, were you able to get one from Senao?
I've been using this router very often and it is very stable and powerful. I would love to have dd-wrt on it to take advantage of more specialized configurations. _________________ ----------
