I've not been able to access the ECB-9500 via redboot but I don't think that is on this unit. The device does not seem to respond to ping during startup at all via the default IP or the one I've set.
I have found that the board has a serial header already pinned and I've got a 3v3 serial to usb adapter on the way to see if I can get console.
After I get a working console and basic access I'll be ready to try some firmware.
My impressions so far are positive. The range is outstanding and the throughput is good. The box does get a bit warm but not enough that I think there will be thermal problems. The factory firmware is fair but I've noticed a couple bugs so far in retaining setting across reboots.
Sash,
Do you know if there is any beta level code to try and do I need to get a license to run it?

The output above is what I get for any command typed.
I've searched all over to figure out what type of input can be used here but haven't found anything. I've also attempted to halt boot but no success.
Any pointers?

1st i have to say that there is no build released for this device right now. this will take some time cause there are some sw problems with the boot loader.
anyway u will have to upgrade the bootloader if u would like to install ddwrt in the future. for this u need serial access.
