The EOC-5610 has an hardware switch to select between the internal directional antennas and the external antennas rp-sma connectors.
Does anyone know if there is a way to control which is used via the software rather than climbing on my roof to switch between the 2?
Not a big deal as I don't see me doing it often, but I wouldn't mind being able to tinker.
I am also assuming the Ethernet port acts as the Wan port? So you can put the wireless clients on a different subnet correct?
So By making virtual interfaces I could block access to clients on virtual interface 1 from accessing clients on virtual interface 2 right?
Can both rp-sma connectors be used for the 2.4ghz band?
Meaning can I install directional 2.4ghz antennas on both then have dd-wrt autoselect antenna for the client.
If the previous is possible, how about all 3? The internal directional antenna and 2 external 2.4ghz antennas?

I also came across a post where someone was trying to connect to a device that had the same SSID as another device. He was unable to get it to connect to the proper device as it kept selecting the other.
Does the commercial version of DD-WRT contain a method to "Prefer BSSID" like the original firmware on this device has? _________________ EOC-5610 -dd-wrt soon....

I understand the switch activates the external antenna ports. My question was is there a way in DD-WRT to do this without having to climb on the roof when I want to switch between the 2.
Also, can both external ports be used for 2.4ghz, or is the one somehow associated with the 5ghz spectrum beyond dd-wrt's control?
And third question
