appreciate if someone could guide me,
i have 2 units of EOC-2610, flashed with DD WRT v24 preSP2 (Build13064). both act as a AP with wds added, When users connected to my AP-1 the chillispot will auto assign an IP address in a range of "192.168.182.0/24". but when users connected to AP-2 it just directly go the the bing search page. It just bypass the chillispot.
my setup is like this:-
192.168.1.1 <--- Loadbalancer connected to my ADSL Lines
192.168.1.100 <--- AP-1 with WDS set to mac address of AP-2 using LAN as setting.
192.168.1.102 <--- AP-2 with WDS (act as to extend the range) set to mac address of AP-1 using LAN as setting.
Both units actually have the same setting on the chillispot, is there anything i miss or overlooked, any help is appreciated.
i wonder if some guru can guide me on this, initially i was running chillispot without problems, now i switch to a commercial
hotspot software. i again use the WDS as before but only this time users connecting to it have problem browing the net.
192.168.1.1 ---> my router connected to the internet
192.168.1.5 ---> hotspot pc running two network cards.
192.168.137.1
192.168.137.2 ---> DHCP server
192.168.137.5 ---> 2610 as AP1
255.255.255.0
192.168.137.1
WDS setting with LAN and Mac of AP2
On Advance Setting i use [ROUTER]
DHCP Forwarder on 192.168.137.2
LAN connect to Switch
192.168.137.6 ---> 2610 as AP2
255.255.255.0
192.168.1.5
WDS setting with LAN and MAC of AP1
on Advance Setting i use [GATEWAY]
DHCP Forwarder on 192.168.137.2
LAN is not connected just the POE cable is connected
When users connected to AP2 it won't browse the net.
i have try with P2P WDS but the problem is even worst, they can see each other but when i connect a LAN cable to it, it cannot browse
the net but it can access both AP's.
The P2P WDS setting i use
10.0.0.1 on AP1
255.255.255.252
10.0.0.2 on AP2
255.255.255.252
rest of the setting same as above.
Can someone point to me the right direction on how i can extend my wifi connections ?
