I am trying to use an EOC-2611 as a repater for my vlan based hotspot. I have not had any success with the docs I have found regarding setting up a repeater. My hotspot controller is at 172.x.x.254. All of the existing aps are on the 172 subnet and are vlan capable. The hotspot SSID runs on vlan 5. The controller (mikrotik) assigns 10.10.1.x addresses to wireless clients on this vlan. Is this possible to use a dd-wrt device as a repeater in this scenario?

Unfortunately I have alot of of existing equipment in place and have no alternative. I guess DD-WRT will not work for me. Thanks

Hello Dave, just wait. I have a few questions, as I do run a configuration almost like yours, and on my side it works.

When you mean repeater, you mean just repeating the information your CLient router gets ? And having this repeated on another SSID ?

-172.X.Y.Z--(Mikr)-(( 10.A.B.C ))-CL-((192.168.D.E))-PC

This works ! The CL with DD-WRT can use a new SSID to repeat the signal, and in another subnet. It will look like :

-(Mikr)--SSID1--(CL)--SSID2--(PC)

Let me know if this is what you are looking for ?
Michel.
