Hi,

What is the latest available firmware for the WRT54GL router?

I like not to use the NEWD-2 or K26 via CFE modification:
http://www.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/Linksys_WRT54GL#Running_NEWD2_and.2For_K26_on_the_GL_model

It's actually 22118 but it's never ran well on my WRT54's and I have all 4 models.

WRT54, 54GS, 54GL, and the TM

ftp://dd-wrt.com/others/eko/BrainSlayer-V24-preSP2/2013/07-24-2013-r22118/broadcom/dd-wrt.v24_mini_wrt54g.bin

But there you go, that's the latest.

I use the lastest / last made VINT EKO and it works like a charm, but everyone gets their own results.

22118 is a broken build. it works as long as you dont do a 30/30/30 reset.

The latest fw I use is the VINT build 18946M
http://www.dd-wrt.com/dd-wrtv2/downloads/others/eko/V24_TNG/svn18946/dd-wrt.v24-18946_VINT_std-nokaid.bin

So if I understand corectly I can use any build as long it is Broadcom Micro/Mini or Standard build.

I have flashed broadcom generic standard firmware on my WRT54GL

First I was not able to flash higher builds than 20548 but than I managed to install build 22118 and from here on you can flash higher builds and it says flashing sucessfull but when it reboots you still on 22118, 30-30-30 does not help.

Have anybody managed to install a higher build than 22118 please let me now?

Sometimes the "latest" is not as good as the "well seasoned".

Try 04-18-06. I still have it running on 4 broadcom radios, 3 of which are in attics. And yes, they have been running since 2006. Had 04-18-06 on about 150 radios at one time. Never a lock up or snag. Uptimes are for as long as you have electricity.
