Router: Linksys e1200v2
Firmware: dd-wrt.v24-26587_NEWD-2_K3.x_mega-e1200v2.bin
Previous: dd-wrt.v24-26490_NEWD-2_K3.x_mega-e1200v2.bin
Status: Working
Reset: Upgraded to dd-wrt.v24-26587_NEWD-2_K2.6_mini-e1200v2.bin, which always puts the unit into firmware recovery mode. Using that, flashed dd-wrt.v24-26587_NEWD-2_K2.6_mini-e1200v2.bin again and it works. 'erase nvram & reboot' and then upgraded to dd-wrt.v24-26587_NEWD-2_K3.x_mega-e1200v2.bin with "no reset" selected. If you reset a K3.x on the e1200v2s, they seem to lose WAN connectivity and get kinda funky. MAC addresses get removed/changed and you don't even see a "WAN IP:" at the top right. But if you upgrade from a K2.6 -> K3.x with 'no reset', all is good (and a noticeable speed increase).

So far it's running super nice! Seems like a better build that my previous already. We shall see, and I'll test on my e900 later. Thanks guys Smile

Router model: Netgear R7000
Status: Functioning properly
Reset: No

Only problem i ran into is that i couldn't manually mount my usbdrive to /jffs or /mnt for that matter. I Got a mounting failed no such device. I enabled automatic drive mount rebooted and it is working fine now even after disabling automatic drive mount again.
I realize this problem is probably due to my inexperience.

The download speed under Xubuntu 14.10 is excellent on this build, the upload speed, it seems, not so much, same under Windows 10.

Oh and the latency when running speedtest.net definitely went up by about 4-5 ms.
Speedtest.net now reports a latency of 22ms under Linux 4.0-RC5 which i believe is quite high.

Hello!

Just found that some of the last releases do not setup the default route at the WAN interface.

Looks like this releases have the same bug:
r26587 - this release
r26490
r26138
r25760

bye,

Wired or wireless? I would check client side. Not seeing any latency issues here

Been testing 26587 over the past two days and have being seeing decent results in maximum processor core utilization when doing heavy sustained downloads with a reduction by 10-15%. Stock cpu frequency, wan speed 175 Mbps.

[26508-26510] Add: Network stack offload using multiple cores

Looks like a winner. Interested in seeing results from someone with 1 Gbps wan speeds

Router: R7000
Prior Firmware Version: 26500 <Kong>
Prior Firmware Date: 03/23/2015

Upgraded to 26587. Only issue that I found is IPv6 using Radvd no longer supplying IPv6 addresses to clients. Restored 26500 and IPv6 working again.

Router Model: WRT610v1
Firmware: dd-wrt.v24_mega_wrt610n.bin
Status: back to 26138
Reset: yes, 30/30/30, before and after
Errors: wl0 stop working, only wl1 (5ghz), same happen with all builds after 26138.
NVRAM is almost full: the 26587 uses around 29.50KB/32KB right after flash it. The 26138 around 28.30KB/32KB.
Even in 26138, after complete the setup, the NVRAM reach 32.02KB/32KB after a while.
Router has random reboots.

WAP54Gv3.1
BS micro 26587
reset
from Linksys FW 3.04 (never before had dd-wrt, got a box of 6 in today)
GUI install fail -- progress bar showed finished then 'upgrade fail' page.
Could not access by http.
Restart, no radio activity, can't access by http.
TFTP same 26587 build to 192.168.1.245 with success.
Access by http, all good.
CL nvram set WAPver=3
GUI factory reset... cool thing about these newer builds on the old box is they will pick up the original correct MAC and the WAPv3 will also hold thru factory reset.

Turned the old WAP into a new WAP with guest VAP with its on br1 network.
WPA2 AES security on both. All good -

It was or is - actually - a combination of cliënts and my internet connection.
Using Xubuntu 14.10 with Linux 4.0-RC6 and Firefox, the latency is about three to five ms higher then using Windows / IE.

Still using Linux doesn't account for the latency i'm experiencing: it is apparently my ISP that is to blame.

When testing the connection while being directly connected to the Eurdocsis-modem the high latency is still present.

I'm not sure but i'm blaming the fact that my ISP merged with another ISP a couple of weeks ago.

TL:DR
DD-WRT is not causing the high latency i posted about earlier.

Router Model: Linksys E4200
Status: Working
Reset: Yes
Previous build: 25251
Errors: Guest wi-fi isn't broadcasting.

Previously using dd-wrt.v24-25251_NEWD-2_K2.6_mega-nv60k, used guide on setting up guest wi-fi on Kong's website. SSID was broadcasting, and guests could join.

Updated to dd-wrt.v24-26587_NEWD-2_K2.6_mega-nv60k, followed same directions. SSID isn't broadcasting.

Repeater mode works fine.
Repeater Bridge Mode works fine without security on the VAP.
Enable security on wl0.1 in repeater bridge mode and all is lost.

Edit: Apr 03, 2015
Been running the WRT54GSv2 as main router for few hours with no problems.
21 static leases
port range forward all good
Running very smooth
Interesting bit in the log file you won't see on the newer routers. Can't fool the Devs, huh?

Code:

user.debug kernel: PCI: Setting latency timer of device 00:01.0 to 64
user.emerg kernel: sb_doattach: incoming bus is PCI but it's a lie, switching to SB devid:0x4320
