I am going to allow anonymous logins for read & download only.
This will include all the info & files currently in the cfe collection project as will as the bins Fractal is compiling and uploads to the site.
If you wish to contribute to the collection and upload anything, then you must still use the "dd-wrt" user name and "router" passaword.
Please put any new uploads no matter what they may be, in the new uploads folder. I will move them to where they belong.
I am removing all the banned ip's. Remember, any shenanigans, your ip is automatically banned on the spot, or will be banned after a delay. This is automatic with no input by me.
I have a linksys wrt 54 gs v6 and was thinking about flashing dd-wrt micro plus. The docs say not to try flashing micro plus if my cfe.bin is greater than 128 k. Interestingly, every cfe.bin on your site is less than that.

My router is a virgin. Still w native firmware. Is the cfe just a back up of the firmware?

most (not all) of the cfe files are zipped.
Installing dd-wrt on a gs v6 is a process. you don't just flash firmware. Check the wiki.
Once you install dd-wrt, you now have to compress the cfe to run micro plus.
you need to do some homework _________________ [Moderator Deleted]

I have cleared out all the banned ip's.. It has been more than a month and they have been collecting.
In review:
I do not ban anything. The software does.
My software can not tell the difference between a forum member hitting the wrong key or somebody with true intentions of attempting to do harm.
If the software sees CWD > /../ or /.* or /*, you will be disconnected and banned. That is interpreted as an attempt to access other parts of the site not allowed by user name and password.
The firewall looks for things like port bounces and probes and will block your ip if it sees that (as well as a few other things).
I allow 5 concurrent connections per ip. After that, the software sends a message stating you have hit the limit. If your client continues to try to obtain more connections, the software thinks it is a hammer and will ban your ip.
If you want to upload something, you need to use the dd-wrt/router un & password. The anonymous login can only download. _________________ [Moderator Deleted]
