I too have a MI424WR Rev I... but looks like only support for older MI424WR (up to Rev D).
Would I brick my router if I tried to webupdate using the Rev D dd-wrt on a Rev I?

I have exactly the same question. I would guess so considering the CPU seems to be from a different manufacturer... Does anybody know?
Any way to get DD-WRT running on this router? I think most people using this router in 2018 don't care about the coax port so hardware support isn't a big issue.

Well, it's been another two years since the last post on this subject and still no info out there. My MI424WR Rev I has been sitting in the closet, but I guess at this point I'll either re-purpose it for something else or simply trash it and make room in my closet. Doesn't look like a firmware for this device is ever going to happen.
