when I try to install ddwrt on my TP-Link MR3220 V.1.2 through the factory interface that brings .. (System Tools-> Firmware Upgrade-> Select File-> Upgrade) I get an error "Error code: 18005 Upgrade unsuccessfully Because the version of the upgraded file was incorrect. Please check the file name. "I tried changing the file name the same as the original supplier and still not let me install it.
To access your router and upgrade you have to enter the IP address (192.168.1.1 probably) into a web browser (Firefox for example)...
I know, I have previously made official firmware updates. but when I try to do the installation used for ddwrt not let me .. it is as if a kind of protection official firmware will not let another firmware update is not theirs. try downgrading to previous official firmware versions and try install DDwrt and the error is the same.
Exactly the same problem here, but with TP-Link WR941ND v5.
I tried to install dd-wrt many times using different releases without success. I tried changing filename too, I tried with all browsers (FF, IE, Chrome) and always did a hard reset before.
Any idea? I really neeed
Note: TP-Link WR941ND v5 is included in the list of supported devices.
The MR3220 download folder has erroneously got the files for MR3420 - will be corrected for next released build.
The WR941NDv5 had previously the same stock firmware as the v4 but TP-Link has now separated them.
Next released build will have dd-wrt files for the "new" v5.
No problem here, if you successfully install a prior build, you can then upgrade to a newer build from DDWRT that would normally have been blocked from the stock TP-Link Firmware
