I can get a read out of it during bootup, but cannot figure out how-to dump whole cfe,etc via serial.

can someone advise on how-to do a dump of whats needed with putty? The sooner you advise, the sooner I do it. Sorry, a computer n00b here.

Configure putty for logging to a file, maybe also configure to not overwrite old log file when restarting putty.

You will get the whole boot sequence in the log file when restarting the router and you can also log in to the router (if you know buffalo telnet user/pwd, sorry I don't) when it has booted up.

I doubt that the problem is an offset problem.
dusan2 was able to reboot his router without getting a trashed .trx, the problem is likely related to nvram erase/write just before or maybe at the same time as the router reboots.
Do the log anyway, Kong has requested it so he wants to see it.

here is what it gave me. again the unit is running the buffalo 2.13, and set to an access-point as my rt68u is the dhcp.

I fear I can't do much without a unit here. This might be a dual boot issues, maybe the cfe tries to boot a second system.
If BrainSlayer has a unit he should look at it.
The offsets look ok so far, but might need an adjustment if it is a dual boot device.

what were you ideas for cooling this unit dusan2? buffalo uses a very odd heatsink on the top lid that should probably be ripped off and replaced with some type of Pentium heatsink or such, and a fan added.

I'm sure they send it, but directly to BrainSlayer his company (NewMedia Net) has a contract with them. And while I'm a dd-wrt dev I'm not a NewMedia Net employee:-)

Thus if it comes to buffalo it is usually BrainSlayer's business.

I couldn't find any dumped firmware or unencrypted firmware for WZR-1750DH.
Looks like DD-WRT for the device is not stable yet.
I notice that my WiFi connection slows and keeps dropping...
I will need to go back to factory stock firmware via CFE until DD-WRT gets stable.

Can anyone share CFE dumped firmware from factory installed? or know how to load factory stock firmware via CFE ?

Thanks,

Seems I could't get back to factory stock firmware.
Instead I'm testing latest K3-AC-Arm build.
http://www.desipro.de/ddwrt/K3-AC-Arm/r23270/

Did CFE TFTP flash via serial after opening my router.
Looks like this is quite stable and is working fine so far. No WiFi dropping or reboot issue any more !!
It's promising.
Feel this is more stable than the following BrainSlayer build.
http://www.dd-wrt.com/dd-wrtv2/down.php?path=downloads%2Fothers%2Feko%2FBrainSlayer-V24-preSP2%2F2013%2F12-24-2013-r23204%2Fbuffalo_wzr-1750dhp/

I will do some more tests.

By the way, using this K3 build,
Can I upgrade ddwrt firmware later via web-gui?

Under testing with latest K3-AC-Arm build.

I can't set set DHCP static IP lease.
Whenever I enter information and click ADD button, it becomes blank slot.
I'm not sure if it really take information I enter.
Can someone look at it? Maybe Kong ?

hi
as it looks now after ~12000 forum reads we still do not have a working dd-wrt code on Buffalo WZR-1750DHP router
so after i seen kong note i think we ( as users me and you can do something to solve this and get a kong / developers a router if that is what it takes to get working dd-wrt on Buffalo )

****
I fear I can't do much without a unit here. This might be a dual boot issues, maybe the cfe tries to boot a second system.

i looked around and seen a WZR-1750DHP for ~ $130 us and ~120eu in Europe. http://www.idealo.de

http://www.idealo.de/preisvergleich/OffersOfProduct/3978074_-airstation-ac1750-gigabit-dual-band-wireless-router-wzr-1750dhp-buffalo-technology.html

so can we ? will we ? pool and buy a router for developers so we can get a dd-wrt working on WZR-1750DHP and other dual core Buffalo models.

***
i can start it by paypal $30 , kong can you provide a
paypal link or by pm massage paypal email.

thank you
