After 13 hours on this release all is well, at least for me. The minidlna.log no longer has an entry every 10 seconds about httpd request error. All 2.4 devices connected and working at reasonable speeds. I still don't have any 5G devices so can't speak to that. I installed the old driver's version with torrent. Stuck with old drivers since I have not had any problems with them. I had been up for 7+ days with the original 23770 release. Only problem noted was the minidlna.log which has been fixed. Once again, Thanks Kong!

Edit: Failed to mention I have the R6300v2 router.

Build 23875 NEWD with BT is working fine for me from a functional point of view.

I did find one problem that does not affect functionality. After checking on the various STATUS tabs I found the SYSLOG is blank, BANDWIDTH has a 404 file not found error and the WAN traffic graph does not display anything. I suspect a bad path somewhere? I did review the syslog via ssh and didn't see anything obvious. I also reset the router to defaults and the problem still exists.

Anyone else see this issue?

I'm already aware of it, I must have forgotten to rebuild the newd builds after I fixed this bug.

I was going to mention that after I actually streamed a movie it kept dropping connections but I see you already provided a new build with a dlna fix. I had tried installing the old driver version and that did fix the status issues. You've already fixed the minidlna problem so guess I'll upload and try the 23880 release.

Thanks Kong.

Edit: I updated to r23880 and after streaming two movies covering about 3 hours with no interuptions I can safely say the minidlna problem is fixed. All the status pages are showing proper data.

No, the minidlna update along with a missing define in the config broken it. Minidlna changed the way they get info for the ethernet interfaces.

Hi, is this version susceptible to the Heartbleed vulnerability?

http://www.cnet.com/news/heartbleed-bug-undoes-web-encryption-reveals-user-passwords/

http://www.cnet.com/news/how-to-protect-yourself-from-the-heartbleed-bug/

Can't tell which version is being used of OpenSSL:

Code:

root@DDWRT1450:~# openssl version -a
WARNING: can't open config file: /etc/ssl/openssl.cnf

However I think it is 1.0.0 and NOT vulnerable based on this:

Code:

root@DDWRT1450:~# cat /usr/sbin/openssl | grep 1.0
libssl.so.1.0.0
libcrypto.so.1.0.0

Flashed r23884 (PT&NEW) on my R6300v2. I have a Netgear JNDR3000(guess Broadcom solution)installed as a wireless Access Point in the other room which is far from the R6300v2. Could not perform wifi seamless roaming well (neither iPhone 4 on 2.4G nor Galaxy S3 on 5G).

Flashed r23884 (STD&OLD), wifi seamless roaming worked perfectly as in the past.

Is it because of the new driver?

(do not read the thread of R7000. So if the similar situation was reported by others before, I apologize for that.)

Kong, Quickly checking. Will you be updating the K3-AC version as well (r6300v1)?
I'm keen to install a safe version Smile
Much appreciated!

Is there a guide out there for Optware installation on the AC builds? I'm interested in putting stunnel on the device.

@kong

I tried upgrading my Netgear AC1450 (purchased from costco; suppose to have identical hardware to R6300v2) using your R6300V1,R6300V2, etc firmwares... I ended up trying everyone one, lol, and no go for all...

Is there any firmware you know of that would work on the AC1450? Or do you have any tips on how to make on of your firmwares to be accepted by netgear's firmware upgrade?

Thanks! (side note, I'm also using an WNDR4500 which which has your latest firmware from 4/17/14 and that works great)
