Bricked the wrt1900ac going back to stock from the test build.
I guess I thought flashing through serial would be like other linksys routers. Lol. I found out it's not.
I've got my cable on, I stop the boot, I'm at the Marvel prompt but don't know what to do to upload the oem fw.

What do I set my pc to?
What are the commands. I use tftp2, type bootp in the promp, it's looking for the firmware but I'm guessing 192.168.1.9, 255.255.255, 192.168.1.1 isn't correct for this router. _________________ I am far from a guru, I'm barely a novice.

Yeah, you can't flash linksys fw from dd-wrt webif as it is not the same format as dd-wrt upgrade builds. If I add the header to latest linksys fw you could flash it through dd-wrt webif.
But you still have a linksys fw installation on it, thus you can just start it through marvell prompt and then you could flash linksys fw again to both boot locations.
Update, I'm uploading original linksys fw with dd-wrt header, that one can be flashed from dd-wrt webif.
Thanks again.
It was strange seeing both radios capable of being set as 5ghz with ac options on both.
There also was no domain setting. The 5ghz channels went up to only channel 140.
If I set either to vht 80+80 they disappeared.
No matter what channel I set, they displayed as unknown in the GUI. _________________ I am far from a guru, I'm barely a novice.
There's lots of information about recovery to stock firmware in the OpenWRT forum, including the Wiki. Also, I believe that I read that the Linksys stores the two latest versions of firmware, so you can revert to the previous stock firmware if you have a chicken that you can kill, can draw a pentagon, and have some incense to burn.
Actually, there was a sequence of power-on's that I read about that forces the router to revert to the previous firmware...again, on the OpenWRT forum. I think a little searching and reading will turn that up.
I tried those from the openwrt forum. Didn't work for me.
I unbricked with help from kong. _________________ I am far from a guru, I'm barely a novice.
I don't know if it applies to every case but this is quoted from Kong's pm to me.
If you are at the Marvell prompt, you can tell it to run install 1 or two, e.g.:
run linksys_nandboot or run altnandboot _________________ I am far from a guru, I'm barely a novice.

OK, thanks for the feedback.
Up to now, we had no router with esata LED, thus we first need to extend the libs for that.
Regarding 5G, did you already try the regular openwrt with oss driver, did it work there. I had problems with certain clients, that could not connect.
Once there is a new set of oss drivers things will probably improve.

I have try one of the first build of lifehacksback's and it was working
I have the USB cable as well and am more than happy to test this out. I have been testing the OpenWRT builds so would be nice to see how this runs in comparison. I have about 22 devices that connect up both wired and wireless along with mixture of android and apple devices.
