I upgraded from Kong's build 23550 to the 23885 on my RT-AC66U, using the NEWD bin.
Everything is working, but a strange issue with the AC-Only have occurred that wasn't in the older build.

I have these settings for the 5GHz wl1:

Now the problem is when I want to run the program Universal Media Server on the computer which is connected to the 5GHz wl1, none of my devices can see the server (TV and PS3).

But if I connect to the 2.4GHz wl0, that is N-Only, everything works.
So it seems like a network code or something isn't letting the program to broadcast when using wl1.
Any logs or ps|greps I can do to add info to solve this?

Thank you for any thoughts, cause I'm all out of ideas.

I still haven't solved this weird issue. I have been testing with the latest 23900 build, both NEWD and OLDD build, but still the same result. No other device can see the media server when the computer uses 5GHz AC-Only.

wl1 shows up correctly as eth2 at br0, same as it does with the build 23550 where I know it worked. Everything looks the same, but I can't figure out why it won't work.

I see no changelog for 23900. Do you by any chance know what changed?

For 23900 Kong @ Change Log states:

Build 23900M 8. Apr 2014
New:
-new folder structure on webserver needed by ddup
-add update utility "ddup" to allow updateing/flashing via commandline

** This is highly experimental. For now only users with serial setup should use it **

Usage, see:
ddup --help

BTW. don't see 66u suported for 23999.

wrt54gl on Eko's @ warehose as repeater for 22 coleagues as wifi client
wrt350n oldie 2007, 5 years bricked, recovered from dead & modded with antennas and new agn radio now incredible "NA mixed" on Brainslayer's , repeater at my garage, modding as hobby (picture)

Thanks for the interest guys, I saw Kong only had updated the changelog for the ARM branch.

I have tried reading through the timeline for changes, trying to look for wl changes, but nothing stands out, except the latest changesets 23918 and 23919, but people are reporting WLAN problems in the build thread.

I got sidetracked for the minidlna updates, but they shouldn't affect this, since I'm not using minidlna server.

What I think it means, it is the ddup/flashing via commandline that should be used through serial (or at least have serial in case something goes wrong), not the build itself.

I have ended up with running 23550, since I never got it to work with newer builds. It's a shame, since the wireless was much faster and more responsive with the NEWD, specially 23900 was a good build overall.
