Linksys WRT-150N
DD-WRT v24-sp2 (08/07/10) std - build 14896
Broadcom BCM4704 chip rev 9
ActionTec C1000A VDSL2 Modem

C1000A is in bridging mode with the WRT-150 handling the PPPoE because I need the loopback.

ISP: CenturyLink

I recently had CenturyLink increase my speed from 12Mbps to 20Mbps and now my PPPoE connection disconnects every morning at about 3am. Before this I had a very stable connection.

Is this a firmware issue with DD-WRT? I don't know what else to try. I have to reboot the modem and router to get it working again.

Thanks!

there are lot of bugs with the PPPOE.

save time downgrade to 2009 versions. you should be good to go

also put your modem in bridge mode and power cycle it and only connect 1 cable from modem to WAN port and no other cables in the LAN ports.

until the router finds the PPPOE concentrator. (logins in)

Thanks for the reply, is there any particular version that you recommend?

Also, is there any way to log PPPoE messages?

Good news: I reverted back to DD-WRT v24-sp2 (10/10/09) std - build 13064 and have not experienced any PPPoE connection problems for two days.

I might try a newer build later but I had to get this going. Hope this helps someone else in the future.

Cheers!
